Former Maryland Congressman Frank Kratovil will begin work this week for the Prince George’s County state’s attorney’s office as a trial lawyer and lobbyist.
Kratovil, who represented Maryland’s 1st Congressional District from 2009 to 2010, will begin work as an assistant deputy state’s attorney on Wednesday.
Once sworn in, Kratovil will manage cases in the Prince George’s County circuit court, as well as the office’s major crimes cases, and will try cases himself, according to spokesman Ramon Korionoff.
Kratovil is also expected to help assist with county State’s Attorney Angela Alsobrooks’ lobbying efforts in Annapolis and on Capitol Hill.
