Metro officials shut down the Cleveland Park Metro Station for roughly 40 minutes Thursday morning while police investigated a suspicious package.
Metro Transit and D.C. Metropolitan police determined the package was not harmful, and reopened the station around noon.
“Just a false alarm,” said Metro spokesman Steven Taubenkibel.
