Washington residents hoping to find someone to share cab costs can now do so online.
CabCorner.com is a new, free online service that lets riders set up cab carpools. People enter their location, destination and planned departure time, and CabCorner searchers for other riders wanting to travel similar routes at the same time.
If there is a match, CabCorner alerts the user via e-mail.
The riders meet at a designated “hotspot,” such as a cafe or store, to catch their taxi.
