United Airlines diverted flight after dog ‘mistakenly’ put on board: Report

A United Airlines flight was diverted on Thursday after company employees noticed a dog was “mistakenly” put on board, according to a report.

Flight 3996, originally scheduled to travel from Newark to St. Louis, was diverted after the airlines noticed the dog was aboard, United Airlines told ABC News.

The dog was sent to Akron, Ohio, according to ABC News, and later “safely” returned to its owner.

United also said they compensated all of the customers on board the rerouted flight.
