Donald Trump suggested that former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg made a deal with Hillary Clinton for a job in exchange for criticizing him.
Trump slammed Bloomberg during an interview that aired Sunday on “This Week” with George Stephanopolous, saying that Bloomberg’s last term as mayor was terrible.
“I think he made a deal with Hillary that he would get a job,” Trump said of Bloomberg. “He knows nothing about me. I don’t know him well.”
Bloomberg had spoken at the Democratic convention and criticized Trump, calling him a con man and questioning his business acumen.
“Trump says he wants to run the nation like he’s run his business. God help us,” Bloomberg said.
Trump also blasted Bloomberg for never running for president because he never had the guts to do it. Bloomberg has previously flirted with independent runs for the White House.
