Boxer’s take on Cruz-Fiorina: ‘Mean & Meaner’

Sen. Barbara Boxer is no fan of the Ted Cruz-Carly Fiorina presidential ticket.

The California Democrat, who has endorsed Hilary Clinton for president, took to Twitter Wednesday after Cruz announced Fiorina as his running mate to fire off some insults.

Boxer first insulted Cruz and Fiorina’s stance on Iran, tweeting that the Texas senator “talks tough on Iran, but his ‘running mate’ was soft on Iran when she skirted the law to sell them computer parts.”

Boxer then proposed a slogan for the ticket: “Mean & Meaner.”

“Cruz/Fiorina = a perfect match. He wants to ship immigrants out and she’s a champion at shipping jobs out,” Boxer tweeted. “Cruz thinks Fiorina will help in California. Maybe he doesn’t know Carly left after she lost by a million votes?” she said in another.

Her last last jab at the former Hewlett-Packard CEO was: “I predict that the latest @CarlyFiorina merger will be as successful as her last one.”

Hewlett-Packard and Compaq merged when Fiorina was at the helm, which led to layoffs, jobs being sent abroad and a large stock drop.

Boxer defeated Fiorina in 2010 to be elected to her fourth term, with 52 percent of the vote. Boxer is retiring from Congress after this year’s fall elections.
