Via the News & Messenger in Manassas come remarks from Potomac Nationals General Manager Jonathan Griffith on the June 8 debut of Stephen Strasburg.
The P-Nats, who play in Woodbridge, are the Washington Nationals’ High-A affiliate.
“People that are going up there are true baseball kids,” Griffith said. “I don’t sell baseball here. They can pay $60 to see Strasburg play. All the military and police officers and firefighters who come to our games get in free. Will they go up there and pay $60? We’ll see. We don’t sell baseball. We sell entertainment.”
