Majority of Democratic voters want increased border security

New polling shows a majority of Hillary Clinton voters favor increasing border security as long as building a wall is not part of the deal.

Fox News released a poll Sunday that reported 56% of Clinton supporters favor increased spending on border security measures and 53% support increasing the number of Border Patrol agents at the southern border.

When it comes to other forms of border security, like the much-debated wall at the U.S.-Mexico border, Clinton voters are still extremely opposed. Almost 90% said they oppose funding the wall.

According to the poll, Democratic voters would rather send Central American countries American aid to improve living conditions and reduce the migrant flow to the United States.

Building a wall at the southern border is still wildly popular among Trump voters, with more than 80% of Trump supporters favoring immigration measures that include building a wall.

Nearly 60% of Trump voters also favor allowing DACA recipients under 30 years old to stay in the U.S., given that they pass a background check.

The poll shows a slight split among Trump supporters when it comes to the President Trump’s enforcement of immigration policy. Thirty-eight percent of Trump voters are satisfied with current immigration enforcement, while 48% do not think the administration has gone far enough.

This comes as the Trump administration touts a recent deal with Mexico to stem the flow of illegal migrants into the U.S.
