District Police seek homicide victim’s ID

District of Columbia police have created a computer-generated composite of a homicide victim who was found in Southeast Washington last year and are asking the public to help identify the victim.

The skeletal remains were discovered last October in the back of the 4400 block of Texas Avenue SE. The D.C. Medical Examiner ruled the death as a homicide, caused by a gunshot wound to the head.

The condition of the remains indicated the body had been killed about a year-and-a-half to three years earlier.

The body was described as an Asian or Asian-Hispanic male with possible, but slight Caucasian mixture. He was estimated to be in his mid- to late-30s or early 40s.

Police estimate that the person was about 5-foot-9.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 202-727-9099. The department offered a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
