Virginia Dems to select new chairman

Virginia Democrats will select a new state party chairman Saturday to replace C. Richard Cranwell when the state central committee meets in Newport News.

The candidates in the running are Brian Moran, a former state delegate who ran unsuccessfully for the party’s gubernatorial nomination in 2009; and Peter Rousselot, former chairman of the Arlington County Democratic Committee.

You can hear David Mills, executive director of the Democratic Party of Virginia, discuss the two candidates here.
