Several government websites, many in Ohio, were hacked Sunday and displayed messages claiming support for the ISIS.
The Associated Press reported the websites for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a Republican, Ohio first lady Karen Kasich, the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Casino Control and the state’s Medicaid program were hacked around 11 am.
One message posted on Kasich’s website stated, “You will be held accountable Trump, you and all your people for every drop of blood flowing in Muslim countries.”
The message was left by “Team System Dz,” and it ended with, “I Love Islamic state.”
Tom Hoyt, chief communications officer for Ohio’s Department of Administrative Services, confirmed the websites had been infiltrated.
“All affected servers have been taken offline and we are investigating how these hackers were able to deface these websites,” Hoyt said in a statement. “We also are working with law enforcement to better understand what happened.”
Josh Mandel, the state treasurer of Ohio, warned radical Islam was “infiltrating the heartland.”
“OH Dept of Corrections website right now, this is what you see. Wake up freedom-loving Americans. Radical Islam infiltrating the heartland,” Mandel said on his Twitter account.

Government websites for the town of Brookhaven, New York, and Howard County, Maryland, also appeared to have been hacked, and the same message was left on those sites.
Websites for Brookhaven and Howard County were taken down Sunday.
Team System DC has claimed responsibility for similar hacks in Richland County, Wisconsin, Aberdeen, Scotland, and Sweden.
