Police are investigating a two-year-old’s fall from a seventh floor balconey in Southeast D.C. The toddler survived the fall.
The incident occured just before 6 p.m. Friday on the 800 block of Southern Avenue Southeast, according to D.C. Fire Department Spokesman Pete Piringer. The child was reportedly not breathing and was suffering from “serious injuries” when the emergency response team arrived, Piringer said.
The boy was transported to Childrens National Center where he is in serious condition. Police are investigating how the fall occured.
