HARRY THOMAS JR.

The embattled D.C. Council member laid low on Monday, three days after federal agents raided his Northeast Washington home. The feds have been investigating $300,000 meant for youth sports in city that Thomas is accused of funneling to himself through a nonprofit. On Monday, a Council committee of which Thomas is a member passed ethics reform legislation, though he didn’t vote. Later, Council Chairman Kwame Brown said he would meet privately with Thomas, following a closed-door meeting of council members in which they discussed how to deal with the Thomas situation.
