President Obama will hold his final press conference of the year — and most likely of his presidency — at the White House Friday.
Obama will ascend the podium of the White House briefing room at 2:15 p.m. Just over three hours later, he and his family will depart the White House for their annual Christmas and New Year’s vacation to Hawaii.
Obama will no doubt offer a summing up of what he sees as the upsides to his presidency while directing “advice” and probably gentle criticism at President-Elect Trump. Allegations of Russian interference in the presidential election are also certain to come up.
