A new bus route connecting the Southern Avenue Metro station to the National Harbor could help spur activity in the relatively new development. TheBus’ Route 35 is scheduled to start running Dec. 20. Its service is designed for commuters: Monday through Friday between 5:55 a.m. and 7:35 a.m. and between 3:30 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. The route is meant to complement the existing Metrobus route already serving National Harbor via the Branch Avenue Metro station in Suitland, according to the Business Gazette. Officials in the area say the expansion in service to and from the District could encourage more people to move to the Prince George’s County development. Liz Farmer
