Chelsea Manning on Law Enforcement Appreciation Day: ‘F—k the police’

Convicted government leaker Chelsea Manning refused to celebrate a national day that honors men and women of law enforcement, and instead offered a profane-laden message to police.

“Fuck the police,” Manning tweeted Tuesday afternoon, along with #disarmthepolice, #wegotthis, and #lawenforcementappreciationday hashtags.

Manning is a former Army soldier known as Bradley Manning who was convicted by a court-martial in 2013 of violating the Espionage Act as a result of sharing 750,000 classified documents with WikiLeaks.

Manning wanted to be identified as a woman, Chelsea, soon after being arrested.
