SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) — The Illinois attorney general is warning residents of possible email scams related to the Ebola outbreak.
Attorney General Lisa Madigan said Friday that emails claiming to be an “Ebola pandemic update” may include links that could harm a user’s computer. She says another scam email offers a “surplus personal protection kit” for $29 and alleges to provide protection for emergency response and law enforcement personnel.
