After Lindsay Lohan was found unconscious on the set of her Lifetime movie “Liz & Dick” last week, an investigation has been opened to determine if any labor laws have been violated.
Lindsay was determined by paramedics to be suffering from exhaustion and dehydration. Two days later, two more crew members on set were also hospitalized for similar reasons.
Now, the actor’s union, SAG-AFTRA, has gotten involved.
“We’re looking into this matter, but can’t yet provide any verified information,” a union rep told the Hollywood Reporter. “Our contracts protect members on the job, and if these kinds of situations are occurring and our members advise us about it, we will contact production and make certain that the contract is being adhered to in all aspects — particularly including performers’ safety.”
D.A. to decide if Justin will face charges
Justin Bieber may have his day in court after an alleged fight that he had with a paparazzo in May.
The Los Angeles Sherriff’s Department completed its investigation of the incident and handed it over to prosecutors. The L.A. district attorney will now have to decide whether the “Boyfriend” singer will face criminal charges.
“The case was just passed off to the D.A.’s office … it is up to the D.A. if they press charges,” a sheriff’s rep confirmed to FoxNews.com.
According to E! News, prosecutors have not set a timetable on when they will decide whether to file charges.
The police have been investigating claims by the pap that Justin hit him after he took photos of the pop star and his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. The photog complained of pain after the incident and was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
Witnesses have previously told TMZ that the pap blocked Justin’s car and possibly instigated the fight.
