Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer says the public is kinder to him now that he no longer works at the White House.
“I can count on one hand the number of publicly negative experiences I’ve had,” Spicer told Politico. “100 percent, I get treated better.”
Spicer had been accosted while shopping at an Apple Store in Washington, D.C., and mercilessly mocked on “Saturday Night Live” during his time as Trump’s spokesman.
Spicer quit in July over Trump’s hiring of Anthony Scaramucci to lead the White House communications department.
