CNN host apologizes after Megan Rapinoe says ‘motherf—ing’ on live TV

CNN host Kate Bolduan apologized to viewers Wednesday after the network aired a live clip of female soccer star Megan Rapinoe saying “motherf—ing.”

CNN was airing Rapinoe giving a speech in front of New York City Hall during a celebration for the U.S. women’s soccer team’s World Cup win on Sunday. Rapinoe ended the speech with a salute to the crowd, “New York City, you’re the motherf—ing best!”

Bolduan appeared on screen immediately after with a look of frustration.

“So, there’s Megan Rapinoe, and that’s live TV, everyone,” Bolduan said.

“Apologies, we cannot control Megan Rapinoe’s speech in front of a crowded city hall,” she added with a laugh.
