Charles In Charge and Happy Days actor Scott Baio expressed his support for embattled podcaster Joe Rogan on Twitter on Friday as a celebrity boycott of Spotify for allegedly spreading COVID-19 misinformation grows by the day.
“I support @joerogan. I know him and his family well as our daughter’s were friends when they lived in CA. I also support @Spotify,” Baio wrote. “They can play my old ass albums anytime if people still want to hear them!”

Several celebrities have announced that they are removing their music and/or respective podcasts from Spotify after the streaming platform said it would not be ending its deal with Rogan after he interviewed two doctors on his show who expressed views on the COVID-19 vaccine that differed with information from government officials.
Musicians Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Nils Lofgren, and India Arie were some of the celebrities who announced they will be removing their music due to Rogan’s podcast.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek reportedly told company staff earlier this week that Rogan is necessary for “achieving our bold ambitions” and that he would not be distancing the platform from him.
“If we want even a shot at achieving our bold ambitions, it will mean having content on Spotify that many of us may not be proud to be associated with,” Ek said on a leaked recording, according to the Verge. “Not anything goes, but there will be opinions, ideas, and beliefs that we disagree with strongly and even makes us angry or sad.”
