Trump adviser: Clinton ‘enabler in chief’

A close adviser to Donald Trump rejected arguments on Tuesday that Trump is a womanizer, and instead said Hillary Clinton has been the “enabler in chief” for Bill Clinton while they were in the White House.

Adviser Michael Cohen said Hillary Clinton has attacked Trump “as being a sexist, misogynist, and he is not any of those things. They’re trying to portray him as such so they can turn the women against Trump, when in fact, the women seem to be turning against Hillary Clinton for being the enabler in chief.”

When asked why Trump wouldn’t defend himself by saying he is not a sexist, instead of attacking the Clintons, Cohen said Trump has said that “many times.”

According to Cohen, Clinton is deflecting and thus she “is the enabler in chief and [Bill Clinton] happens to be the sexist. So instead, she needs to win the women’s vote. That’s what she needs. She is certainly not going to win the men’s vote. So she needs to go after the women’s vote. She’s not going to be able to do that if Donald Trump is not portrayed by the Clinton campaign as a sexist. So she is deflecting.”

Trump released a video on Instagram Monday with Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and Paula Jones, three women who have accused Clinton of sexual assault. The former president has admitted to affairs with Gennifer Flowers and Monica Lewinsky.
