Can a topical gel medication heal open sores that plague diabetes patients?

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is conducting a safety and efficacy study on a gel ointment to help one of the more common ailments of people with diabetes. Nerve damage and poor circulation can cause and aggravate open wounds for people with the chronic disease.

Qualified participants will receive medication and wound care at no cost as well as compensation for their time. The study will last more than six months.
