Chrissy Teigen and John Legend back Warren for president

Model Chrissy Teigen and musician John Legend are backing Sen. Elizabeth Warren for president.

The celebrity couple revealed their top candidate for the White House in Vanity Fair’s November cover story, titled “The First Family We Deserve.”

“My favorite — I’m going to say it, we’ll break news today — is Elizabeth Warren. She’s the best candidate running today and she comes at it with joy and with sincerity and with a wealth of knowledge and experience,” Legend, 40, said.

“I love Elizabeth Warren,” Teigen, 33, added. “I also love Kamala Harris.”

Legend noted that Warren’s candidacy could struggle to catch on with men who don’t want to vote for a woman to lead the country.

“Honestly, I don’t comprehend why guys hate women so much sometimes,” he said. “You see someone as transparently competent and eloquent and on fire as Elizabeth Warren and then you hear some guys just are not into voting for a woman. Why do guys feel so threatened by the idea of a woman president?”

“Our menses,” Teigen whispered in her husband’s ear. “Because there’s 10 days a month where we’re just going to war.”

Warren said she was “grateful down to my toes” for the couple’s support.

“Looking forward to the day [Teigen] doesn’t have to fight with the president of the United States on Twitter,” the Massachusetts Democrat tweeted Monday.

The duo caught Trump’s attention in September when Legend appeared on a MSNBC town hall to discuss mass incarceration rates and didn’t give Trump credit for bipartisan criminal justice reform passed during his administration. Trump referred to Teigen, whom he had blocked on Twitter amid her frequent criticism of him, as Legend’s “filthy mouthed wife.”

“lol what a p—y ass b—h. tagged everyone but me. an honor, mister president,” Teigen responded.
