Vice President-elect Pence will visit the U.S. Capitol on Thursday and meet with newly minted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, aides said.
Pence is the head of President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team.
Schumer, D-N.Y., was elected to head the Senate Democratic caucus on Wednesday. House Democrats will hold leadership elections after Thanksgiving. Pelosi, D-Calif., announced Wednesday she is running for re-election but she might face a challenger.
