Siege Warfare

The Hill reports:

With both sides digging in over the cuts and the blame game down Pennsylvania Avenue well under way, the White House sees little hope of replacing the $85 billion in automatic spending cuts anytime soon.

So of course the administration’s solution is to further sour and demoralize the country by “hammering Republicans over the issue … arguing the cuts will hamper economic growth and constrain the military…”

One wouldn’t want to let a fine crisis like this one go to waste.  So the campaign will go on. And on.

A development that even Tom Brokaw finds disappointing.
