Kal Penn joins CBS comedy pilot

Kal Penn has been going back and forth between Hollywood and D.C. for the past few years. After leaving “House” to work for President Obama, he followed up his stint as a liason for the president to make the most recent “Harold and Kumar” flick. Right now, Penn is campaiging for Obama’s reelection, but once November passes he will get back in to acting. He will join a newly annouced CBS sitcom “Ex-Men.” The show, which is set to air in the 2013-2014 season, will also star Chris Smith from “Paranormal Activity.” Smith plays a young guy who moves into a building occupied by older men. Penn will play a man who joins Smith in the apartment building.
