LET THERE BE LIGHTS Take the whole family out in style on a nice, 2-mile ride through the animated lights of the season — in a vintage horse-drawn carriage! Sit back as your coachman recites a bit of Annapolis history, while you enjoy the flickering lights throughout Sandy Point State Park. And yes, you can still reserve this morning for a Christmas night ride (reservations are required). 1 to 10 p.m. $12 to $120 (children under 2 free). Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis. For directions and reservations, visit annapoliscarriage.com

Santa Claus, penguins, polar bears and toys are in town for a little bit longer, all lighted up at Howard County General Hospital’s 15th annual “Symphony of Lights” show. Drive through, crank up the radio and enjoy carols as you watch the flickering displays. Proceeds benefit Howard County General Hospital’s Maternal Child Services. 6 to 10 p.m. $20 per car. Symphony Woods, Columbia. 410-740-7666; hcgh.org
