Maryland State Police said an autopsy revealed the driver of a bus that crashed last week on Interstate 270 in Bethesda, injuring 11 passengers, suffered a heart attack. Police said 66-year-old Joseph Clabaugh, of Hanover, Pa., died of a heart attack and not from injuries in the crash. The autopsy results were released Monday. One passenger asked Clabaugh whether he was OK before the driver appeared to pass out and slump over the wheel, investigators said. The mini-coach bus with 11 passengers plunged off an elevated ramp on the northbound I-270 spur from the Capitol Beltway, rolled down the tree-covered embankment and came to rest with only a jersey barrier keeping it from falling into traffic below. — AP
