Actor George Takei said Wednesday that President Trump’s announcement that the military will no longer allow transgender people to serve in “any capacity” in the military shows that Trump is no friend to LGBT people.

The Star Trek actor, who is gay, unleashed a series of tweets in which he said Trump “just pissed off the wrong community” and that he would regret it.

Producer and television personality Andy Cohen also offered a more pointed tweet asking Trump, “Are you TRYING to be an asshole?”

Takei and Cohen joined a growing chorus of Hollywood actors and actresses that were highly critical of Trump’s announcement.
