A counterprotester gave his best performance when he appeared to get hit by a slow-moving truck driven by an anti-vaccine mandate trucker in Canada’s capital.
Video of the display shows the man, wearing a mask outdoors, appearing to lean into the vehicle before dramatically falling to the snowy street and lying on the ground.

Bystanders can be heard saying, “Oh, come on,” and, “He’s just pretending.” Another video shows the man return to his feet to yell at the truck driver as he puts his mask back on.

Thousands of Canadian truckers convoyed to Ottawa over the past two weeks, where they now occupy the city streets in protest of government vaccine mandates affecting their industry.
Police said Friday that they have begun to crack down on the protesters. “This remains … an increasingly volatile and increasingly dangerous demonstration,” Ottawa Chief of Police Peter Sloly told reporters.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has characterized the protesters as a “fringe minority” holding “unacceptable views.”

“The small fringe minority of people who are on their way to Ottawa are holding unacceptable views that they’re expressing [and] do not represent the views of Canadians who have been there for each other, who know that following the science and stepping up to protect each other is the best way to continue to ensure our freedoms, rights, and values as a country,” Trudeau told reporters.
