President Trump Monday said the “fake news media” was wrongly reporting problems with immigrants in Sweden.
“Give the public a break – The FAKE NEWS media is trying to say that large scale immigration in Sweden is working out just beautifully. NOT!” Trump tweeted.

The tweet comes after Trump referred to a non-existent terror attack in Sweden during a campaign rally in Melbourne, Fla., on Saturday night.
“You look at what’s happening in Germany. You look at what’s happening last night in Sweden. Sweden, who would believe this? Sweden. They took in large numbers and they’re having problems like they never thought possible,” Trump said.
He then took to Twitter Sunday afternoon to say the controversial remarks were “in reference to a story that was broadcast on @FoxNews concerning immigrants & Sweden.”
On Friday night, Fox News ran a segment on Sweden’s increase in immigration and Ami Horowitz’s documentary about the country.
The Sweden Twitter account reiterated multiple times that there was no attack and nothing happened Saturday night.
“We look forward to informing the US administration about Swedish immigration and integration policies,” the Swedish embassy in the U.S. said on Twitter on Sunday night.
