Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas remains in hospital

Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas remained hospitalized on Wednesday, missing a third day of oral arguments.

Thomas, 73, was admitted to Washington, D.C.’s, Sibley Memorial Hospital on Friday after having “flu-like symptoms,” Supreme Court spokeswoman Patricia McCabe said.

He was diagnosed with an infection, and he has not been seen on the bench since, according to a report.

When asked for an update on Thomas, McCabe responded with, “No update.”

“He underwent tests, was diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics,” McCabe said in a Sunday statement.

Thomas is fully vaccinated and boosted against the coronavirus.
