President Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, both White House advisers, are reportedly evaluating whether they will remain in Washington, D.C., every six months.
Jared Kushner told friends that he and Ivanka Trump are discussing every few months whether to return to their private lives in New York City, according to a New York Times report.
Trump and Kushner left the president’s first trip abroad early amid a series of reports that the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election has expanded to the president’s son-in-law.
Investigators told NBC News Kushner has critical information relating to their probe, but is not suspected of committing a crime.
The couple moved to the nation’s capital after the election to join the Trump administration.
Kushner has been tasked with resolving the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians, reforming the government, solving the opioid crisis and criminal justice reform. He’s also been the intermediary between the U.S. and China, and the U.S. and Mexico.
Ivanka Trump has been pushing a proposal to make child care affordable and accessible.
