Stessel, who heads media relations for N.J. Transit, will take over that job for Metro on May 23. Lisa Farbstein, Metro’s director of media relations for the last decade, is resigning from the transit agency. Stessel worked for Metro General Manager Richard Sarles when Sarles headed N.J. Transit.
