Videos and images show doctors wearing hazmat suits as they treat a mystery illness that has broken out in China over the past two weeks.
The coronavirus has killed 17 and infected more than 400 in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, where 11 million people live. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control confirmed one case of coronavirus on Tuesday, which was found in Washington state after a man returned from Wuhan.
Radio Free Asia released a clip of doctors loading a patient with coronavirus into the back of an ambulance in the coastal city of Huizhou in southern China. Other videos show doctors wearing hazmat materials inside emergency rooms and scanning travelers aboard planes.
It is believed the virus originally transmitted from animals to humans at Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in Wuhan.
The government in Wuhan has mandated face masks, and video from the city purports to show workers spraying sidewalks and parks with an unidentified disinfectant.
