Melania Trump plays bocce ball in London

First lady Melania Trump met with schoolchildren and veterans Friday in London at an event hosted by British Prime Minister Theresa May’s husband, Philip, as she promoted her “Be Best” campaign abroad.

Trump and May toured Royal Hospital Chelsea, a home for retired soldiers known as the Chelsea Pensioners, and chatted with a group of schoolchildren about being kind to others.

“Why is your motto ‘Be Best’?” a student asked Trump, according to CNN.

“I want to help children be best in everything that they do, to be best at whatever your passion is, where you’re focused — everything in life, really … and be best with each other, to be kind,” she said.

Trump and May also made remembrance poppy pins with the children and Pensioners.

The pair then played bocce ball, known as “bowls” in England, with the group.

The first lady will rejoin President Trump later in the day to have tea with Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor Castle before departing for a weekend in Scotland at the president’s gold resort.
