President Trump boasted on Friday that he inspires larger and more energetic crowds than Ronald Reagan.
The morning after holding a rally in New Hampshire, Trump retweeted three tweets from former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was his top lawyer for special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation.
“This is a tour de force which is equivalent to Reagan and Clinton but has much bigger audiences and he excites them much more. He is one of our great campaigners which is how he defeats a hostile media. They don’t get it,” Giuliani said in one of the tweets.

“This is more than an hour before and it is as full as a playoff game for a rally for @realDonaldTrump. No one has ever gotten these kinds of crowds. This was the reason he won in 2016 and will again. Don’t tell the dummies in the Fake Media,” he said in another.

Trump himself made a declaration about crowd size on Twitter soon after the rally in Manchester Thursday evening, comparing his audience to one for British singer Elton John.
“Great news! Tonight, we broke the all-time attendance record previously held by Elton John at #SNHUArena in Manchester, New Hampshire!” he said.

This is not the first time Trump has compared himself to Reagan, the 40th president.
He said in January 2016 — during the presidential campaign — that his political reach was bigger than Reagan’s, claiming that his Republican predecessor did not garner that same “intensity” as him among supporters.
