Bill de Blasio, the Democratic mayor of New York City, met with President-elect Trump in Manhattan Wednesday as protesters in his city and around the country continue their demonstrations against Trump’s victory.
“We’re talking about what the people of New York City are feeling and what we need,” de Blasio told reporters on his way into Trump Tower.
De Blasio was a vocal supporter of Hillary Clinton throughout the presidential race.
The mayor’s office indicated Wednesday that he would hold a press conference outside Trump Tower following the meeting with Trump.
