William Kristol, editor of the conservative Weekly Standard and one of Mr. Daniels’s most vocal cheerleaders, posted a picture of the motorcycle-riding governor on his blog this weekend under the headline, “A Candidate to Be Drafted Later?”
Some Republicans see a scenario where Mr. Gingrich triumphs in the Florida primary, igniting an effort to lure someone like Mr. Daniels or former Gov. Jeb Bush of Florida into the race as a foil to the former speaker.
