Trump: Avenatti is a ‘third rate lawyer’ who is ‘good at making false accusations’

President Trump dismissed porn star Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti for being a “third rate lawyer” who is “just seeking attention” in bringing forth his client’s allegations that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge were sexual predators in high school.

“Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He is just looking for attention and doesn’t want people to look at his past record and relationships — a total low-life,” Trump tweeted Wednesday.

Avenatti tweeted a photo Wednesday morning of a list of allegations brought forth from a third woman who is raising sexual misconduct charges against Kavanaugh.

The woman, Julie Swetnick, claims she saw Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge attend “well over ten house parties” in the Washington, D.C. area between 1981 and 1983. Swetnick says she witnessed Kavanaugh behave overly aggressive towards woman in high school, including spiking their drinks and making physical contact with young women without their consent.

“On numerous occasions at these parties, I witnessed Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh drink excessively and engage in highly inappropriate conduct, including being overly aggressive with girls and not taking ‘No’ for an answer,” writes Swetnick. “This conduct included the fondling and grabbing of girls without their consent.”

“I often witnessed Brett Kavanaugh speaking a demeaning manner about girls in general as well as specific girls by name,” Swetick alleges. “I also witnessed Brett Kavanaugh behave as a ‘mean drunk’ on many occasions at these parties.”

Swetnick goes on to claim that Kavanaugh and Judge tried to get girls so drunk they couldn’t consent and then tried to “gang rape” them.

“I have a firm recollection of seeing boys lined up outside rooms at many of these parties waiting for their ‘turn’ with a girl inside the room. These boys included Mark Judge, Brett Kavanaugh,” Swetnick said.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is expected to meet Thursday to hear testimony from the first woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault, California professor Christine Blasey Ford. A second Kavanaugh accuser, Deborah Ramirez, accuses Kavanaugh of exposing himself to her at a party while they were students at Yale University. Her attorney says she is also willing to testify.

After hearing from Ford and Kavanaugh on Thursday, Republicans are expected to push Kavanaugh’s confirmation through the Senate in an expedited fashion.
