MSNBC co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough are postponing their July 4 vacation in order to appear Friday morning on their show “Morning Joe,” one day after President Trump disparaged the two in a spate of tweets.
Their fellow co-anchor, Willie Geist, made the announcement in a tweet Thursday evening.
.@MorningMika & @JoeNBC were supposed to be away on vacation tomorrow. They’ve postponed & will join me on @Morning_Joe. See you in the AM.

Trump tweeted insults directed at Brzezinski and Scarborough Thursday in reaction to their criticism of his administration.
“I heard poorly rated @Morning_Joe speaks badly of me (don’t watch anymore). Then how come low I.Q. Crazy Mika, along with Psycho Joe, came to Mar-a-Lago 3 nights in a row around New Year’s Eve, and insisted on joining me,” Trump tweeted around 9 a.m. EST. “She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!”
Trump’s tweets came just before 9 a.m., just as “Morning Joe” was coming to a close and didn’t give the pair a chance to respond.
Brzezinski did respond on Twitter, sharing a photo of a Cheerios box featuring the phrase “Made for small hands” and a child reaching for a piece of cereal.

Trump’s tweets have been widely condemned by journalists, as well as politicians on both sides of the aisle. The White House defended the president, arguing he didn’t go too far.
