New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio leads the 2020 Democratic presidential polls in the candidate Democratic voters would be most disappointed if the person were the nominee.
A YouGov/Economist poll released Wednesday found that 30% of Democratic voters would be disappointed if he were their nominee. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren had the lowest level of Democratic voter disappointment if she were the nominee, with 9%.
De Blasio also had low favorability numbers among the general electorate in the poll, with only 3% of U.S. adults having a very favorable opinion of him and 32% having a very unfavorable view.
The mayor’s presidential bid has so far failed to catch fire, with less than half a percentage of Democrats supporting his bid, according to RealClearPolitics.
At a recent stop in Iowa, de Blasio failed to draw a crowd of even two dozen people at a campaign event. He got 0% in the Iowa State Fair’s “Cast Your Kernel” poll.
