MONTAUK, N.Y. (AP) — A scandal-plagued Philadelphia weatherman says a cabbie punched him and attacked him with a stun gun in Montauk, New York last month.

John Bolaris says the incident happened July 6 when he hailed a cab and the driver tried to pick up another group instead.

Bolaris tells Philly.com (http://bit.ly/1A0LE3B ) there was an argument and the driver punched him in the face.

Bolaris says the driver then pulled out a stun gun and used it on him.

An incident report from the East Hampton Town Police shows the driver was arrested on charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment.

Bolaris gained notoriety when he testified that was the victim of a “bar girls” scam run by an international crime ring in Miami Beach in 2010.
