SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio-area inmate is back in custody after a five-minute escape.
Bexar County Sheriff Susan Pamerleau tells the San Antonio Express-News that 40-year-old Julian Morales made a run for it on Monday. Morales was on supervised work duty in a parking lot outside of the county jail. It’s unclear how he was caught.
She says Morales was allowed on work duty because his charges are non-violent misdemeanors.
Pamerleau says Morales will face an additional charge of escape.
