DogCentric will host a canine costume contest, raffle, and happy hour to benefit homeless hounds at Tommy Joe’s Restaurant in Bethesda on Oct. 26. DogCentric, a dog-walking service, will charge $10 at the door and send all proceeds to the Washington Animal Rescue League. The event will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; the costume contest kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Treats and water will be available for dogs. Canines must be kept on a nonretractable leash, have up-to-date vaccinations, and behave well with humans and other animals. For their part, humans must be at least 21.
