Roger Stone associate: ‘He’ll definitely get a pardon’ from Trump

Randy Credico, a radio host and associate of Roger Stone, predicted Thursday the Republican operative would receive a pardon from President Trump.

Credico reasoned that Trump would pardon Stone because he doesn’t want him spilling any secrets. Stone has insisted he will not betray the president.

“He’ll get a pardon. He’ll definitely get a pardon,” Credico told MSNBC’s Ari Melber. “He’s been loyal to this president for 37 years. I know the president is not loyal, does not reciprocate loyalty, but in this case, he doesn’t want Roger Stone yapping out there.”

Stone was indicted in January on charges that he lied about his communications with WikiLeaks, the organization that published Democrats’ hacked emails during the 2016 campaign. Special counsel Robert Mueller also accused Stone of obstructing justice and witness tampering.

The indictment also alleged Stone threatened to steal Credico’s dog after he denied being Stone’s backchannel to WikiLeaks.

Stone has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and his trial is scheduled to begin in November.

Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Wednesday that he did not want to discuss pardons but said many people were hurt by Mueller’s inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign and whether there was collusion.
