Police say Florida woman killed boyfriend by trapping him inside suitcase

Investigators in Florida say a woman recorded herself laughing after she zipped her boyfriend inside a suitcase and left him to die.

Sarah Boone, 42, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Jorge Torres Jr. Boone called 911 on Monday and said that she had found Torres dead, according to the Associated Press.

Investigators said Boone told them she and Torres were drinking together the night before, and he agreed to be zipped inside of a suitcase while they played hide-and-seek. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Boone said she then went to sleep, and when she found Torres the next morning, he was still stuck inside the baggage and unresponsive.

But the sheriff’s office said Boone’s phone told a different story. She allegedly recorded a video of the suitcase facing downward while her boyfriend struggled to get free. In the video, she reportedly laughed while he said he couldn’t breathe.

“That’s what I feel like when you cheat on me,” Boone said, according to investigators.
