Tucker Carlson: ‘Naughty’ media ‘all in’ on consuming ‘every last drop of Buttigeig, yum’

Tucker Carlson started off his show by blasting the media for its “naughty standards” of gushing over Mayor Pete Buttigieg, 37, as if he were “a hearty stew.”

“Even by the naughty standards of the news media, this is a new level of political commitment. If they don’t just want to vote for the sky, they want to consume him like a hearty stew,” Carlson said on his show Wednesday, referencing the media’s largely positive reception of the millennial presidential contender Buttigieg.

“Every last drop of Buttigieg, yum. They are all in,” Carlson added.

Carlson went on to criticize the media’s lack of scrutiny into Buttigieg, who he accused of being both inexperienced and lacking substance in his campaign.

The comments caught fire on Twitter, where users called Carlson’s remarks “bizarre” and “creepy” and asked, “Is Tucker Carlson OK?”

Buttigieg has said that Democrats should not just lead with policies but rather their values.

“And so it’s very important to me to make sure we’re winning a values argument too. It’s why I talk about things like freedom, and why freedom can’t just be a property of the conservative movement to the Republicans, but that means constructive freedom,” Buttigieg said on “The Rachel Maddow Show” Monday.
