‘Other reporters laugh at the only serious question’: Biden walks away when asked about Hunter’s emails

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden walked away from a reporter who asked him to comment on a laptop allegedly belonging to his son Hunter that was reportedly seized by the FBI.

“The other reporters laugh at the only serious question,” tweeted Federalist editor Christopher Bedford.

While Biden was explaining his choice of ice cream to reporters on the campaign trail, an unidentified reporter asked Biden about the laptop. Biden ignored the question and began to walk away as other members of the press laughed at the question.

Biden has refused to comment about the laptop story, which was first reported by the New York Post last week, besides calling it a “smear campaign.”

“I asked Joe Biden: What is your response to the NYPost story about your son, sir?” Bo Erickson, a campaign reporter for CBS, tweeted Friday.

“He called it a ‘smear campaign’ and then went after me. ‘I know you’d ask it. I have no response, it’s another smear campaign, right up your alley, those are the questions you always ask,'” Erickson continued.

The Biden campaign said that it had “reviewed Joe Biden’s official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place,” in its only campaign statement on the New York Post story.

“Investigations by the press, during impeachment, and even by two Republican-led Senate committees whose work was decried as ‘not legitimate’ and political by a GOP colleague have all reached the same conclusion: that Joe Biden carried out official U.S. policy toward Ukraine and engaged in no wrongdoing. Trump administration officials have attested to these facts under oath,” the statement continued.
